Synopsis
Fiona bought her one hectare piece of land in 2017 and started by installing big composting bays and solar panels to supply power as the farm is off-grid. She now supplies her own shop in London, where she also runs workshops. Beds are named after notable women gardeners including Sarah Price, Beth Chatto and Vita Sackville-West, their names inscribed into bold black stakes. Fiona grows a wide range of annuals and perennials including roses, grasses, shrubs, herbs and bulbs, from Salvia caradonna to pretty Scabiosa stellata 'Ping Pong', from scented pelargoniums to mint. One of a new generation of British flower growers who grow with nature rather than fighting against it.
